Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Invoicefinito ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: name, email address, login credentials, authentication provider details.
- Business and Invoice Data: business profile, clients, invoices, payment terms, line items, notes, and related financial records that you enter.
- Bank and Transaction Data (Plaid): if you choose to connect a bank account (an optional Pro Max feature available in the United States and Canada), we use Plaid to securely link your account and import transactions. We receive financial account details (such as institution name, account name, and the last digits of the account number) and transaction records (amount, date, merchant/description, and currency) so you can review, categorize, and reconcile them against your invoices. Your bank login credentials are entered directly into Plaid and are never stored on our servers or shared with us.
- Usage Data: app interactions, diagnostics, crash reports, device/browser metadata, and performance telemetry.
- Support Communications: information you provide when contacting support or participating in feedback.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Generate, store, and deliver invoices and related documents.
- Provide customer support and communicate service updates.
- Analyze product usage to improve reliability and features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)
Depending on your jurisdiction, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (such as hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email, and bank-connectivity providers like Plaid) solely to operate the Services, subject to contractual safeguards.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and jurisdiction.
If you delete your account in the app, we deactivate it immediately and permanently remove your personal data after a 30-day grace period, unless you restore the account during that window. Our Data Deletion and Retention Policy (PDF) defines retention schedules and enforcement. See our account and data deletion page for step-by-step instructions.
6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps designed to ensure data is protected under applicable legal requirements.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to request portability where applicable.
Delete your account: in the Invoicefinito app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days unless you sign in and restore it during that grace period.
Disconnect a bank: in Settings → Bank connections, disconnect any linked account to revoke Plaid access and remove the stored connection on our side without deleting your full Invoicefinito account.
Step-by-step instructions, what we delete or retain, and retention periods are on our account and data deletion page. For other privacy requests or help signing in, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and performance. You can control cookies through browser settings, but some features may not function properly if disabled.
11. Third-Party Links and Integrations
The Services may contain links to third-party sites or integrations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Please review their policies before sharing information.
Plaid. Our optional bank-connection feature is powered by Plaid Inc. By connecting a bank account, you also agree to Plaid's handling of your information as described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a bank at any time from the app's Bank connections screen, which revokes Plaid's access and deletes the stored connection on our side.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
